Coming to us in 2013, Tanya Graybeal has been a specials teacher for the past 3 years. She has acted as both our Librarian and Music Teacher. This year she will primarily focus her efforts on our Music Education Program. She is excited to incorporate a fun learning environment into her music classroom, one that keeps with the latest educational trends, but also teaches students the value of respect.

Tanya received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Bob Jones University. She has more than 25 years of experience in teaching, but has learned that the teacher with the most influence is the parent.

Tanya has been married to her husband, Philip, for 26 years and they have one son, Zachary, a PCA 9th grade student. She enjoys teaching private piano lessons, spending time with her family, and being involved in church ministries. Her family has a goal of visiting all 50 states and Canada and they are more than half way there! Their favorite trips have been to Hawaii, Yellowstone, and the Gulf Coast of Florida. Tanya’s family are active members at Eastlake Community Church.

Tanya’s personal educational mission: “To live a consistent example of Christ and His love before the students to the best of my ability; to share and present teaching material in a fun and exciting manner; to set attainable goals within the set standards and guidelines; and to patiently guide students in meeting those goals.”
